Welcome to the Robloxian Film & Television Wiki Rules and Conditions Section. This page details all of the rules and policies that our community follows in order to ensure an atmosphere of stability and rule of law. Follow these at all times and our community will benefit immensely. These rules apply to all websites, including wikia chat, wikia discord server, wikia social media accounts, and any other websites which maintain an official connection with the RFTW or the RFTA.

Rule 1: Keep Content Relevant
This rule ensures that all user-added information, including but not limited to pages, images, videos, and comments are relevant to the overall topic of our wikia, unless explicitly stated otherwise. NSFW non-artistic content will be removed under this rule. For example, adding a page on our wikia about a Minecraft video you've created violates this rule and will subsequently be deleted. The offense related to this rule is Irrelevant Content.
Rule 2: ROBLOX Record/Watermarked Videos
This rule restricts users from adding articles and videos about a machinima that was made using ROBLOX Record or another recording program which adds a watermark on the video that never gets removed when it is released. This rule does not punish users who have editing errors which, for an insignificant amount of time, have a watermark showing. Rather, this rule ensures that the content on our wiki is for videos which have a professional quality to them. Due to the abundance of free editing programs available, a violation of this rule will result in the video or article being removed from our wiki. All watermarked video projects, however, can be added to a Filmography section. We recommend any videos a user creates that violates this rule be re-released with a cropped version. The offense related to this rule is ROBLOX Record.
Rule 3: Article Qualifications
This rule is defined as: "Any article on the wiki must be formatted properly." This ensures that each article on our wiki is easily searchable, easy to read, and is organized in a way that every article on our wiki connects with one another. Article guidelines are explained more in-depth in our Article Requirements page. The offense related to this rule is Article Requirements.
This rule is defined as adding or editing any foundational page to the wiki without the express orders of the wikia administration. Foundational pages, excluding the Main Page, are pages that are labeled under the category Browse. Adding new templates, new categories, new foundational pages, or any other edits which directly affect core wikia functions are labeled under this offense. The offense related to this is Unauthorized Edits.
Rule 5: Unsanctioned Advertising
This rule ensures that a user doesn't misuse the wiki solely for personal or corporate enrichment. For example, if a user on every page he creates advertises his filming group, he is going outside the sanctioned advertising space on our wiki. This rule is defined as explicit advertising outside the Advertising hub on the Main page. This rule does not apply to asking for people to join your productions on comment pages or message walls, but does apply if you are asking people to join on the wikia article itself for it. The offense related to this rule is Unsanctioned Advertising.
Rule 6: Sexual Material
This rule restricts users from the dissemination on the RFTW wiki or any affiliated websites and chat servers, the posting of sexually explicit non-artistic content, or from commiting sexual harassment on members of the community. The offense related to this is Sexually Explicit.
- Personal Attack
- Stealing Content
- Abuse of Power
- Illegitimate Activity
- Ban Bypassing
- Community Threat
- Privacy Violation
- Voter Fraud
Rule 1: Vandalism/Spam
No individual may spam or vandalize the wiki. If a user violates this rule, they will be punished by administration.Vandalizing is defined as any edits on RFTW with the intent to create purposefully inaccurate, libelous information to any page on the wikia. Spamming is the illegitimate or improper use of offsite links, or wikia features that result in a page being vandalized. The offense related to this rule is Vandalism/Spam.
Rule 2: Personal Attack
This rule refers to the making of an abusive remark on or relating to somebody's person instead of providing evidence when examining another person's claims or comments. This rule also applies to abusive remarks to RFTW wikia users real-life identities. The offense related to this rule is Personal Attack.
Rule 3: Plagiarism
This rule prevents RFTW users from stealing another user's RFTW content and either releasing said content onto their own platforms or the hostile takeover of another user's intellectual property for themselves without proper accreditation to the original owners. This rule also includes the holding of another RFTW user's creative content against their expressive desires validated either by an validated contractual agreement or the ruling of the RFTA. The offense related to this is Plagiarism.
Rule 4: Abuse of Power
This rule prevents any RFTW administrator or RFTA board-member from going outside the boundaries of the rules and Administrator guidelines without facing severe punishment from the Bureaucrat, the other administrators, or the community. This includes improper user bans, failure to enact legislation approved by the administration, not following the official wiki laws, or any offense not listed that would qualify for wikia punishment. The offense related to this is Admin Abuse.
Rule 5: Illegitimate Activity
This rule refers to any illegal action which can directly threaten the RFTW wiki and all wikia affiliated websites and chat servers, such as posting illegal content, violations of official Wikia rules, or any actions which can be constituted as dangerous or criminal activity. The offense related to this rule is Illegitimate Activity.
Rule 6: Ban Bypassing
This rule refers to the act of getting around a ban by utilizing another account, or breaking into another user's account to violate the wiki rules. This rule does not prevent sock puppetry or users from creating multiple accounts. When a user is banned, all of their multiple accounts are also banned, and all accounts are allocated the same timeframe for their primary account's ban/warning. The offense related to this is Ban Bypassing.
Rule 7: Impersonation
This rule refers to the act of pretending to be another Roblox user or making a new wikia account claiming to be another user. This prevents libelous actions from being taken and ensures the community a sense of identity associated with each wikia account. The offense related to this is Impersonation.
Rule 8: Community Threat
This rule refers to the presence of a wiki user which is fundamentally hostile to the function, stability, or security of the wikia, thus posing an existential threat to the community. This can include individuals with previous histories of punishments from other wiki communities, individuals who have or are engaged in illegal criminal activity. Community Threats are given a 1 year ban on top of the critical rules ban ladder. Community Threats are decided by a majority vote in the RFTW administration. The offense related to this is Community Threat.
Rule 9: Privacy Violation
Rule 10: Voter Fraud
This rule refers to a wikia user who conspires to rig wikia elections either through multiple voting techniques, such as creating multiple wikia accounts to amplify votes, changing IP addresses to vote multiple times, or any other attempts to impact the results of an election. The rule violation related to this is Voter Fraud.
On this wikia, unlike several other attempts, free speech is paramount to the stability of our community. We believe every member has critical common sense and follows the Golden Rule. However, anything which is posted or uploaded to the wikia must still follow the overall Wikia Rules as they regard User Conduct.
Right to Challenge an Account Ban
Any user banned/blocked will be able to appeal a ban by messaging an admin. All admins who must ban a user must notify them that they may appeal a ban by personally messaging any administrator's Roblox account with their appeal. A user who gets their ban repealed is protected from being banned for Basic Rule offenses for 3 more times after that, as well as for the alleged offense that resulted in the ban in the first place. Please see the section in Administration.
Right to Challenge a Wikia Decision
Any RFTW user has the implicit right to challenge a Wikia decision made by the RFTW Administration, including decisions made by the RFTA agency. The method to challenging a wikia decision lies in the use of a Community Audit. Any decision made by the RFTW administration can only be challenged once. Please see the section in Administration.
Right to Propose Wikia Decisions
All RFTW Users have the right to propose any wikia decision that they desire to the RFTW Administration, or the RFTA board members. Any decision proposed to the wiki administration must first be reviewed by the Administrator for general consideration and language corrections. Any decision proposed to the RFTA must first be reviewed by the Chairman. Any piece of legislation that an RFTW user feels was unfairly rejected may launch a community audit to either challenge the rejection, or challenge language corrections made by the Administrator.
Right to Personal Enterprise
All RFTW Users have the right to conduct their personal businesses and oversee their creative content in any manner that they choose which does not violate wiki rules. This includes the right to make deals with other RFTW users, the right to produce their own creations, the right to hire or fire their employees, and the right to responsibly grow their business all without the fear of unjustifiable condemnation from the wiki administration. All RFTW Users have the right to control their personal creative content that is leased to other members within the confines of a contractual agreement. The lack of a contract thereof does not open the doors to unlimited exploitation of said user's content by a third party. Any contractual violation that goes against wiki rules will be dealt with as a normal offense.
Right to Personal Privacy
Right to Request Removal
All RFTW Users have the right to, at any reasonable time, request their own copyrighted works be removed from the RFTW wikia. This covers primarily video and image media, but can also include at administrator's discretion, articles associated with their content. This right, however, does not include a right to expunge all references to the content which may be present on other wikia pages.
Right to Lead, Vote, and Judge
All RFTW users who have not been convicted of a Critical Rule violation, or have had their convictions expunged, have the opportunity to run in wikia administration elections whenever those elections are held. If any wikia user suspects voter fraud, they have the right to challenge election results in a community audit. Every member of the wikia has the right to vote in these elections.
Right to Multiply
Every user on this wikia has the right to own multiple wikia accounts and use them on our website. We believe that if a user accidentally forgets the password to their old wikia account or gets locked out of their old account, they should have the freedom to make another account without bothering the administrators. We also believe that multiple accounts pose no damage in themselves, it is only through the impersonation of another user or using that account to violate the rules where administrative action is taken.
Right to Blog
Blog Posts are incredibly important to the Roblox Film Wikia. A user may use their blog posts as they see fit. Most people use blog posts for updates and critical discussions that affect their company or their community, but we believe that a user may have complete control over their blog posts as the administrators do over theirs.
Right to Chat
Unlike another wikia, we do not ban users from using a Wikia Member's Message Wall to get their attention. The reason for this is a belief that any page on the wiki has the right to be discussed, commented on, or reviewed by all of the community's users. Our Website Chat, and our Website Forums are also built to handle free speech discussions.
Right to Edit
All RFTW users have the right to edit any and all unprotected articles at their will. Any non-core function wikia page that is protected must have a justifiable reason for it as is determined by the admin who protects it. The community has the right to challenge page protections by going through the same process as one would go through for an Administrator's Abuse of Power, by appealing a page protection response to another administrator.
Right to a Clean Slate
If a rule changes that a user had been convicted of violating in the past, that user, if they're still banned, immediately becomes unbanned, and all users who were banned for that offense get that offense removed from their wikia account records. All rules removed apply retroactively. No user may be banned for new rules or timeframe punishments which are implemented if they have in the past violated them. This means if you made a page edit months ago which now violates a rule, the admins cannot punish you for a crime that did not exist when you made that edit. If an administrator fails to ban an individual within a week of time, that user is protected from being retroactively banned because the mistake falls onto the administrator at that point, not the user. A user may also, in rare situations, may have their previous violations removed if they demonstrate good behavior to the community, as is determined by the administration. This is referred to as expungement.
Right to Implicit Rights
All RFTW rights listed on the Rules and Conditions page are categorized as explicit rights on the RFTW community pages. However, these do not exclude implicit rights that may not be defined within the respective definitions for each user right listed. Unlisted and Implicit rights are weaker compared to explicit rights, but are judicable and defendable rights that the wiki administration must consider when dealing with issues relating to user rights.
